The Color of Kindness

My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.
~Dalai Lama

Thank you to all my readers who sent good wishes for a nice vacation.  I do appreciate all of you.  I wish I could read all of your blog posts and send my comments.  I’m trying to catch up.  May take a while.

Today’s image is one that I took while on vacation in Nevada this past week.  My sister-in-law, Carryl, got permission from her neighbor for me to photograph this unusual flower. Her yard is lush with beautiful, colorful plants and flowers. I admire people who have a green thumb (and whose husband is a landscaper) :-). I have no idea what this flower is but I thought it to be just lovely.

Kindness (to me) is the color of purple.  It’s also the color I use when I meditate, visualizing the violet flame of healing, forgiveness, protection and peace.  Namaste’

  1. Dear Regina, you are so nice. This is wonderful flower and I saw it a few days ago in one of my books, it is artichoke’s flower… so beautiful. And you captured so nicely… Fascinated me. Thank you dear, love, nia
