That’s Life!

I had a friend who had a saying about life … “Some days you get the bear and some days the bear gets you.”  Well, I’ve decided that even if the bear is looming large, I will not be afraid.  If there’s one constant in life, it’s change.  And as I told another dear friend of mine this morning, “In every adversity, in every change in our lives, there is opportunity for growth.”  We just have to have eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to love.

Another thing about life I’ve learned recently is that it’s perfectly OK to let go of relationships that no longer serve me.  I can forgive the other party, wish them a wonderful, blessed life, and then cut the cord with dignity and integrity, knowing that I did my part.  Now my part is over.  So in the words of old blue eyes (Frank Sinatra), that’s life.

Today’s photo is a necklace that I wear every day. It reminds me to honor LIFE and believe me, there are days that I need reminding.  Namaste’

  1. It’s hard for me to read this and not feel a sense of loss for you. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your positive attitude, but sometimes this ole Life thing can be kinda rough.

Sounds like you have a healthy attitude about what’s going, and that is nice to hear. Personally, I’ve had a few close relationships go by the wayside for one reason or another. I sometimes think of those people, and choose to remember only the good stuff. I’m not perfect either, so for me it doesn’t make sense to remember someone’s faults. And since they’re no longer in my life…what’s the point right?

I feel that every relationship has meaning, even if it only lasts a short time. There is always a lesson to be learned. I’ve even had some bad relationships with former bosses that I cherish to this day for the lessons I’ve learned. I’m thankful to have had those experiences (and even more thankful to be OUT of those relationships…ha ha ha).

I appreciate your words when you visit me, and I appreciate visiting you and seeing your openness. You have as beautiful a way with words as you do with pictures!! Oh, and thanks for sharing the song too! It inspired me…

Be well. I hope you have an AMAZING week…

  2. What a beautiful necklace you have Gina…and your words…simply love them. I also wonder sometimes why some friendships don’t ‘exist anymore and I sometimes pity that, but then I remember all new friendships and new people I’ve met along the way and know that is what is important right now! We only life once and have to embrace every single moment of our precious lifes! Namaste
