This week’s photo challenge from Word Press is BEYOND. This image might make one wonder what’s beyond that rainbow. Perhaps the second rainbow? Or is there really a pot of gold? I took this last summer during one of our monsoon rains. I look forward to that every year. It always brings some new photographic adventures for me.
I don’t know if I’ll take on the challenge every week but I might. Guess you’ll have to stay tuned to find out. Namaste’ and have a blessed weekend.
Just me popping in to see you. No, I didn’t take this picture, but thought it was in keeping with this year of being happy. I think he is, don’t you?
I have some photos I’ve taken in the past few days and will get to posting them tomorrow. In the meantime, be happy! Namaste’
Southern Arizona has always been known for being a rather dry climate but during the winter, it gets to the point of ridiculous sometimes. I think I should have my own chapstick factory. Right now we’re experiencing a very cold spell. Low 20’s at night and high 40’s during the day. So WS went on the hunt for our humidifiers and we fired ’em up. Yeah!
I walked by one of them today and noticed the steam, decided it reminded me that when light shines on something, it changes its appearance. Kind of like life. Shine a light on negativity and it changes it. Namaste’
It seems I have carpel tunnel in my left hand, so I decided to try a little therapy. And as it turns out, my new therapy is Funky Monkey Muse’s new friend. I’m going to call him Chuckles because Smiley is way too cliche’. Ha! I squeeze Chuckles every night to keep all things important working in my hand. Maybe I should call him Giggles. (I could have sworn I heard him do that last night).
I’ve been kind of under the weather the past few days so I haven’t taken Funky Monkey Muse on any adventures but I will soon. I did learn that my friend Bonnie’s sock monkey, “Socks” is looking for a girlfriend. Could be a romance blooming soon. Stay tuned. I’ll fill you in on all the latest gossip as it unfolds. Namaste’
Just experimenting with my zoom lens and thought I’d post this. Any guesses as to what it is? Hint: they used to be popular back in my Grandma’s era and are now coming back around again. Namaste’
Every once in a while I take to cleaning out files, which includes photos on my hard drive. Today I spent a little time doing that and came across a folder of plants and flowers. Looking through that folder, I discovered one of the first series that I did with sunflowers, adding some special effects and playing with the color. This is one of my favorites that I’ve had printed quite often for cards. Namaste’
Yesterday was the day. After all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, it was time for me. A manicure and pedicure was definitely in order. But not your ordinary pedicure. As you can see, now I match Daisy. Click the photo for a close-up 🙂 Namaste’
