You Have a 5-Second Window

“You have a 5-second window in which you can move from idea to action before your brain kicks into full gear and sabotages any change in behavior.” – Mel Robbins, author of The 5 Second Rule.

Watch this powerful video about it. (I know … you’re rolling your eyes about me posting another video. Haha!) But you know I’m giving you the good stuff, right? 🙂

The Surging Epidemic

What??? Another video, you say? (Hey, it’s my blog so I get to do what I want. Hehe).

But this is important, so listen up, dear ones. In lieu of Throwback Thursday, please watch this important video (9 min. 43 sec.) It affects all human beings.

Jimmy is a smart guy. I really like what he puts out there. It resonates. Listen to what he has to say. Maybe it will inspire you, too. And if you’re so inclined, share it with those you love.

I found this image on an alternative media site that I frequently read. As you may know, I don’t get my news from the mainstream media. It’s rigged to keep the populace in fear. I believe we need to draw our own conclusions by listening to our hearts – not our TV’s. Our intuition will never steer us in the wrong direction.

I feel like humanity is waking up to the truth of who we really are. We are powerful and very brave for being here now on this planet; our beautiful blue orb which we are responsible for maintaining. WE are the ones we’ve been waiting for. I don’t believe anyone is coming to SAVE us. We have to save ourselves. No longer can we say “oh, let someone else take care of that.” Apathy will not work anymore. Action is required now for our very survival and the survival of our planet. What action will you take to make a difference; to spread the truth; to bring more light and love into the collective consciousness?

The Tree of Knowledge

Today’s photo is of the “Tree of Knowledge” outside my local library.  There are libraries all over the world and aren’t we fortunate to have them?  And with the advent of online “everything” we now have the option to reserve books at libraries from the comfort of our own computers.  But I’ve always liked to actually go to the physical locations of libraries and bookstores.  There’s nothing like walking by a book and having it reach out to you, whispering “pick me up and read me for I have new knowledge for you.”  Don’t laugh – it’s how I found the Conversations with God trilogy in the 90’s and I haven’t been the same since.

The Tree of Knowledge, according to some religions, speaks to us of good and evil; what it was like before we entered into dualistic lives.  Good and evil; light and dark, right and wrong.  You know … all the stuff that was drilled into us as children.  Yes, I believe it all has its place as we’re growing up but I question most of that dogma now.  I realize that a lot of what I learned as a kid is based in fear. Now I simply want to live by what feels right to me, searching my heart, not my head, for most of my answers. As an adult, I get to make decisions that don’t allow people to take advantage of me in the name of being “good.”

Light and Power Within

This was one of those days when I had a lot of domestic chores to do but went shopping with my husband instead.  Let’s see, shopping or cleaning bathrooms? What would you do? And it turned out that we found some pretty good sales.

All of the above has nothing to do with today’s photo.  Fooled ‘ya!  Actually this was taken after I read Marianne Williamson’s piece below and it occurred to me that it might make a good heart reflection.  Yep, it’s those heart reflections on my wall from the wax warmer, with a few special effects thrown in.

Who Are You Not to Let Your Light Shine?

Light and Power Within – “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” – Marianne Williamson
