Coincidence?

Sometimes things just show up out of the blue. Like this video of Born to Love You by Lanco. But I’m not a believer in “coincidence.” I believe everything happens for a reason. To show us something. To learn. To grow. To be healed. To bring us joy …

This singer looks so much like my brother when he was in college. The eyes and even the mustache. I’ve been feeling his presence lately and then I saw this. Coincidence? I think not.

Like one of the lyrics in this song, he was a wild child. I’m pretty sure he’s rockin’ out in some other dimension right now. Have fun, Mike!

Enjoy the music.

Be good to yourself and each other. Namaste’

Life

My brother wasn’t the kind of guy to buy presents for people. He hated shopping and would rather give someone money to buy what they wanted. I always teased him about that 🙂

For my birthday in 2010 he gave me this necklace, just a few months before he passed away. I remember when I opened it I told him how much I loved it and he said, “I hope you always will, kid.” I was his little sister and he always called me that. Unless he was mad at me – LOL!

Looking back I think he knew that we were going to lose him and that his wish for me was to really live my life. I believe he knows that I am.

One of the main reasons I started this blog six years ago was to chronicle my life so that when I’m gone, my kids and grandkids will know what I was about. Maybe my life will be an inspiration for them to live theirs doing things and loving people that make their spirits soar.

Picky, Picky

This is another one of those signs that I saw in the restaurant on Sunday.  I thought it was so cute – it reminded me of the Little Rascals.  My brother and I watched that show faithfully as kids.  I miss those kind of TV shows.  If my brother was still with us, I’d search out one of the channels that runs the old shows and make him come over and watch the Little Rascals with me.  Most of the junk that’s airing these days is just that … junk.   Oh, yeah, and don’t get me started on the number and decibels of the commercials.  Namaste’
