I mentioned in a previous post that I would publish some of the images I got from the San Augustin Presidio so here they are. I really like the contrast in the first image of then and now. A new parking structure sits in the background of the old presidio. The image below that is a collage of several that I took that day. As usual, click to enlarge. Namaste’

Yum Is An Understatement
Hubby has the best boss on the planet. She knows what people like, that’s for sure. Besides money, that is 🙂 Take a look at the chocolate covered strawberries that she sent to all employees for their semi-annual meeting. A few of the recruiters (including hubby) are virtual and work at home, so yesterday these arrived and he was instructed not to open the box until today during the tele-meeting. Do you know how hard that was for me? Especially when I saw the box that said Shari’s Berries.
Of course, once this Pandora’s box was opened, I had to take some photos and make a collage. Yes, they taste just as good as they look. We feel so decadent. Thanks, Leslie! I don’t even work for you but am sending you a “virtual” hug right now. Namaste’
Mike’s Mail
Today is the second anniversary of my brother’s passing. It’s a sad day for me. I miss him. We didn’t always get along well, but isn’t that the way it is with most siblings? He’s the only one I had and being older than me, the one I looked up to for lots of things.
So now I just tuck little notes to him occasionally into Mike’s Mail. It’s a ceramic mail holder that I had made for him many years ago. Mike loved to play golf so it had to be about golf, of course 🙂 Now it sits on my desk, next to my computer.
I just learned yesterday that one of his granddaughters, a senior in high school, took a few trophies recently for her school’s golf team. I’m sure that whatever dimension he’s in, Mike is smiling on her.
The bottom photo is a collage I did of him about a year ago. Mike loved to clown around and as you can see, was having a little fun sticking his head out through the sun roof of his car. Being that he was a joker, sometimes it was hard to know if he was pulling my leg or not. Playing Texas Hold ‘Em with him was a real challenge. He had the perfect poker face, although I did manage to beat him a couple of times 🙂 Namaste’
Sunday Soul Collage
Today’s photo is a collage of some of my faves. Having a gazillion (OK, a slight exaggeration) photos on my computer can sometimes lend itself to some creativity, so here’s my Sunday Soul Collage. Some of these I took long before I started the 366 project.
WS and I went out to dinner and we both blew our new eating plan all to hell. He had Veal Piccata and I had the Chef’s special pasta, bread & butter, and a fabulous glass of Merlot …. mmm … to die for! We won’t even talk about dessert; I’m not fessin’ up to that! But I have to say it was good for the soul. Back to normal eating plan tomorrow.
