Let’s face it. Every single one of us on this planet has had a bad day at least once, right? OK, raise your hand if you’ve had one more than once. Yeah, I see you out there. Ya’all raised your hand, didn’t you? Well, join the club.
Here’s my friend, Funky Monkey Muse. Remember her? I caught her playing with Daisy’s happy face ball and realized she must have been having a bad day. So I told her it was alright and that Daisy wouldn’t mind. Then she smiled at me and I snapped her picture.
She wishes you smiles and happiness and says that if you have a bad day, just refer back to this post and know that things will get better soon. (She also whispered to me “if this doesn’t make your readers smile, then they need to check their pulse.”) I guess she still has just a wee bit of cynicism. Sorry. Namaste’
It seems I have carpel tunnel in my left hand, so I decided to try a little therapy. And as it turns out, my new therapy is Funky Monkey Muse’s new friend. I’m going to call him Chuckles because Smiley is way too cliche’. Ha! I squeeze Chuckles every night to keep all things important working in my hand. Maybe I should call him Giggles. (I could have sworn I heard him do that last night).
I’ve been kind of under the weather the past few days so I haven’t taken Funky Monkey Muse on any adventures but I will soon. I did learn that my friend Bonnie’s sock monkey, “Socks” is looking for a girlfriend. Could be a romance blooming soon. Stay tuned. I’ll fill you in on all the latest gossip as it unfolds. Namaste’
Well, here I am again. This time without the pressure of a photo a day … but how long did I last without posting a photo? Only a couple of days!
I’d like you to meet my new muse. In fact, that’s her name – Funky Monkey Muse. I struggled with a name for her and while I was contemplating that, I decided to play with some editing software. And of course this photo became my latest creation. Made me laugh just to do it. I hope it brings you at least a smile, too.
Maybe that’s what this new year should be all about … less struggle, more laughter, more light-heartedness. More of feeling like a kid and being playful. I’ll tip my hat to that.
Keep an eye out for more Funky Monkey Muse adventures. I think she will travel with me. Namaste’
