When I came across this image today on my Instagram feed, I couldn’t stop laughing, so of course I posted it on FB. Don’t we all need a good laugh these days? Of course some will say I’m being irreverent, but how can I be irreverent of a myth? But just in case, don’t show this to your kids who still believe. LOL …
And if the image above didn’t make you smile, I dare you to NOT smile when you see this …
Be good to yourself and each other. Namaste’
Doing the 365 Photo Challenge back in 2012 taught me so much, but the main thing I learned is that I don’t want to be a purist. I thoroughly enjoy taking pictures and playing around with them after I upload them to my computer. So I’ll leave the purist photography to the purists. I’m having too much fun.
Are you having fun taking pictures? I sure hope so. It doesn’t matter if you have high-priced equipment, a disposable camera, a starter camera or a phone camera. Just capture what you see and have a good time doing it. Yesterday I took a picture of my right foot and put it on Instagram. Why? Because I’m in need of a pedicure and was laughing the whole time my toes posed for the photo.
The image below is of my friend “Photog” taken when I lived in Tucson. I loved photographing him because he loves to take pictures, too. I imagine that makes us kindred spirits 🙂 This is his version of the Selfie. Namaste’

Just a quick post today. I found this image of some roses that I had earlier this year and it reminded me that I must stop and smell the roses more often. I hope you do, too. Namaste’
I mentioned in a previous post that I would publish some of the images I got from the San Augustin Presidio so here they are. I really like the contrast in the first image of then and now. A new parking structure sits in the background of the old presidio. The image below that is a collage of several that I took that day. As usual, click to enlarge. Namaste’
The other day hubby and I decided to have some Chinese food and, since I don’t cook it :-), we thought we’d better go out. The food is really good there … the best pot stickers around!
While waiting for our meals, I noticed the wall hangings and decided to capture some images.
This is the main wall hanging, depicting a fisherman and his young protege’
This is a side view close-up of the fisherman’s face.
I had a scheduled photo shoot today and was early so I sat around and had some coffee by this fountain. I love fountains but they’re so hard to keep clean with our hard water. So I just find other peoples’ fountains to enjoy. Something about the sound of water … nice! Namaste’
Today’s photo is of a file folder from a set that I purchased to help get myself organized. I like the colors, design, and glossy feel of it. Now hopefully I’ll put it them to good use to get some files organized. My file drawers could be classified as organized chaos. Now there’s an oxymoron for you. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend and safe travels. Namaste’
This is one of those images I’ve been meaning to capture because I drive by this cactus all the time. It’s just hard to pull over and get out without getting run over 🙂 But the opportunity finally came about today and so here she (or he) is … the crazy cactus whose arms don’t know which way to grow … or go … just a case of semantics I guesss. Somehow this reminds me of how my hair looks in the morning – LOL! Namaste’
