A Rare Sight

It’s a rare sight around here to be able to photograph the sun.  There was just enough cloud cover last night to let it shine through without burning my eyes (I hope).  Today is all about indoor activities, like cleaning out some files, because we’re supposed to hit 113 or higher today.

I heard that Las Vegas, where it will be even hotter than us, has set up temporary cooling stations around the city and in Henderson.  Bravo for you guys!  It might save some folks from heat stroke, especially the homeless.  Stay cool … namaste’

The Boys of Vegas

From the archives today, I found this shot of “The Boys of Vegas.”  Well, technically, they all live in Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas.

I sure enjoyed photographing them when hubby and I visited his twin sister, Carryl, and her husband a couple of years ago.  She’s a pet sitter and all of these guys were in her charge while we were there.  From left to right, there’s Jazz, Jake (her dog who passed away recently), Buddy and Deuce.

When we lived in close proximity to Carryl several years ago, our dogs would get so excited when we said, “Auntie Carryl is coming over.”  They would run to the front door and wag their tails until she arrived.  If I was a canine, I would want Auntie Carryl to take care of me for sure 🙂

I think the “Boys of Vegas” is the perfect description for them.  Namaste’
