While hubby and I were shopping yesterday, we came across this bronze statue in one of my favorite bookstores. I still love bookstores, even though I use my Kindle most of the time. There’s just something very comforting about picking up a real book.
I wonder what this woman is contemplating … or is she just sad? I think she might be in deep meditation. Namaste’
At a time when people around the world are suffering in some way or another, the middle east, Russia and Ukraine just to name a few, I strongly urge you, my faithful readers to participate in this event tomorrow. It’s free and together we can make a difference. Meditation is so beneficial for our mental and emotional health. And it looks like this powerful meditation might even make the Guiness Book of Records! Wow!
An amazing man, Deepak Chopra, will be facilitating this event and if you’ve never heard him, you’re in for a special treat. The time in the U.S. is 12:00 noon EDT. Namaste’
My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.
Thank you to all my readers who sent good wishes for a nice vacation. I do appreciate all of you. I wish I could read all of your blog posts and send my comments. I’m trying to catch up. May take a while.
Today’s image is one that I took while on vacation in Nevada this past week. My sister-in-law, Carryl, got permission from her neighbor for me to photograph this unusual flower. Her yard is lush with beautiful, colorful plants and flowers. I admire people who have a green thumb (and whose husband is a landscaper) :-). I have no idea what this flower is but I thought it to be just lovely.
Kindness (to me) is the color of purple. It’s also the color I use when I meditate, visualizing the violet flame of healing, forgiveness, protection and peace. Namaste’
