Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines to Patterns

This week’s photo challenge is just what the title says … from lines to patterns.  Almost everything we see around us has some kind of pattern or lines.  That is, if you look closely enough.  Here’s a few that I have taken in the past that I think fit the bill.

Hubby and I are off to a classic car show tomorrow.  I’ll have pictures, of course, when I get back.  Have a wonderful weekend.  Namaste’

Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

This weeks photo challenge is inside.  The image below is one of many that I took at the San Augustin Presidio, built in 1775, here in Tucson. I believe it exemplifies the light that we all have inside us.  As you look through the “bars” on the window, you can see the light shining from within.

Maybe it’s time we all looked inside more and let our lights shine outward.  Namaste’

Weekly Photo Challenge: Sea

This weeks photo challenge is the Sea.  I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like the sea.  Some of my best days and nights have been at the beaches of northern California.

I remember one time when I had to go to Bodega Bay to make sales calls.  It happened to be one of those grey, overcast days and I didn’t really feel like driving out there but I had to get the calls out of the way.  On the way back to my office, I pulled over at one of the beaches near Bodega and simply sat and watched the sea.  It was spectacular to watch the power of the mighty surf as she rolled in, wave after wave.

Because of the weather, there was no one else there but me and God.  Magical time; just magical.

This image is the beach in Marina Del Rey (southern CA).  The sun had already set, so all I could get was the last vestiges of light on the waves, while watching this man and his child.  I added a nostalgic effect because that’s how it felt to me. Namaste’

Weekly Photo Challenge: Companionable

Since this week’s photo challenge is companionable,  I decided to post this image of hubby and his twin sister.  What better companion than a twin?  Of course I didn’t take this photo.  I wasn’t even on the planet yet – LOL!

According to them, they’re about three years old here and I just think it’s one of the cutest pictures I’ve ever seen.

Make a comment below and share with all of us what you think they’re thinking.  Personally, I’m guessing that they’re mulling over something mischievous … Namaste’

Weekly Photo Challenge: Beyond

This week’s photo challenge from Word Press is BEYOND.  This image might make one wonder what’s beyond that rainbow.  Perhaps the second rainbow?  Or is there really a pot of gold?  I took this last summer during one of our monsoon rains.  I look forward to that every year.  It always brings some new photographic adventures for me.

I don’t know if I’ll take on the challenge every week but I might.  Guess you’ll have to stay tuned to find out.  Namaste’ and have a blessed weekend.
