The past few days seem like such a blur, with moving Mom and the details and coordination work that it entails. Such a stressful time for all of us. Hubby was so good yesterday to move all the boxes from her old apartment to the new one. That paved the way for the movers this morning to get the job done a LOT quicker. Saved her some money, too, because they charge by the hour. I sure hope she appreciates him. I know I sure do.
Hubby and I were both pretty tired last night. I was just thinking as I went to turn off the light in the bathroom right before falling into bed, “I can’t wait to get back to photographing some fun things.” Lo and behold! What do I see? A mosquito eater just hanging around on the mirror. As I snapped the picture with my phone, I thought, “Is this what it’s come down to?” Snapping photos in the bathroom? Aaaarrrghh! Oh well, at least I had some fun editing this one with the Paper Camera app. Namaste’
Today’s photo is a red glass vase that my Grandpa gave my Grandma many, many years ago. It was the last gift he gave her before he passed away. She cherished it, my Mom cherished it and now I will. And someday my daughter and her daughter will as well.
Look close enough and you can see my reflection in the face of the vase. Namaste’
I almost didn’t think we were going to get any rain today … promises, promises … from Mr. Weatherman. But lo and behold, when I got home from visiting with Mom, there were the puddles. I missed all the action (it wasn’t raining at all at Mom’s) but at least I got these. Didn’t even have to do a rain dance 🙂 Hope your Saturday has been good; really good. Namaste’
For all of you who ventured a guess as to what yesterday’s photo was, many of you were close. Ta-Dah! Here it is. This time in color with an explanation. The photo is of an indoor swimming pool which has skylights in the ceiling. The skylight was reflecting in such a wiggly pattern because the pool cleaner was running at the time. I was kind of surprised at how this turned out. So … thanks for playing my guessing game. Namaste’
BTW, it’s 108 here today and none of my blogger friends have sent me any rain whatsoever. Shame on you! 🙂
