Black and White Challenge Day 5

I’m ending this black and white challenge with an image I took at Alcatraz. When I look at this, I think of all the inmates who spent their lives there and many died there. I thank God that I never made choices that would put me in a place like this.  Can you imagine looking out at the city of San Francisco and the Bay and not being able to enjoy it? Namaste’

Bodega Bay

I was going to continue my series of images that I took at our recent visit to Tubac but this image came in today from my daughter.  She’s visiting Bodega Bay CA, a place near and dear to my heart. It’s 82 degrees there right now.  Wow!  Most of the time it’s a bit chilly and windy, but October is the perfect time to visit this place, as well as San Francisco, just 66 miles away, about an hour and a half by car.

I think she got a great shot … can’t you just feel that spray on your face?

When I lived in northern CA, I used to spend as many weekends as possible at Bodega.  Such a beautiful place and I was lucky enough to live only 18 miles away.  Lots of interesting beaches and places to investigate tide pools.  Great restaurants and gift shops, some tucked away where the average tourist could miss them if they weren’t looking.  The lodging is spectacular as well.  Nothing like waking up in the morning, walking out on the balcony and seeing that beautiful blue water.

If you’re ever in northern CA and looking for a wonderful day trip, check it out:  See Bodega Bay  Dang!  I’m so jealous right now 🙂

Bodega Bay

American Southwest (A Peaceful Journey)

A good friend of ours who lives in San Francisco sent me this video the other day.  I just now had a chance to watch it and decided to share it with all of you, especially my readers who have never been here.

I think each part of this beautiful planet has its own special power and places that, when we view them, take our breath away.  I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.  May it bring you a few peaceful moments.

Thank you, dear Anne, for sharing this with all of us.  Right now, with the excessive heat we have here, I would love to be in my favorite city by the Bay.  Send a little of that bay fog over to us here in the desert … please  ❤  Namaste’

Unfurl the Sails

This is one of the photos I took while on my trip … still catching up.  This one is of San Francisco Bay with Marin County in the background.  I soooooo love it there.  Unfurl your sails and catch the winds of love.  December begins tomorrow. Big changes coming. Namaste’

Car #496

Another image from my trip.  These are so much fun to ride, especially when you have sore feet from walking along all the piers and Fisherman’s Wharf.  Namaste’
