Unattended Children

This sign was posted on the wall of a winery where my Happy Trails friends and I were wine tasting last Fall. I found it to be quite humorous.  It sure paints a mental picture, doesn’t it?  Namaste’

Weekly Photo Challenge: The Sign Says

This week’s photo challenge was interesting.  Not hard to find signs everywhere; just hard to find signs that are unique.  So I decided to re-visit some of the ones I took  during my 366 project last year.  Sure brought back some funny memories and what I had to do to get some of these shots.  Hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend.  Namaste’

Picky, Picky

This is another one of those signs that I saw in the restaurant on Sunday.  I thought it was so cute – it reminded me of the Little Rascals.  My brother and I watched that show faithfully as kids.  I miss those kind of TV shows.  If my brother was still with us, I’d search out one of the channels that runs the old shows and make him come over and watch the Little Rascals with me.  Most of the junk that’s airing these days is just that … junk.   Oh, yeah, and don’t get me started on the number and decibels of the commercials.  Namaste’

Silly Signs

I stopped watching the news two days ago.  Just can’t take it and I don’t need to say why.  You all know.  I’m sure you feel it, too.

But today my husband and I went out to breakfast.  Needed to break the routine.  We tried a restaurant we’d never been to before and the food was wonderful.

I love places that are different and it’s always a bonus if the food is good 🙂  But this place had some of the coolest signs and I hope they bring a smile for you.  Take a look.

(Only 15 days to go and the 366 Project is over).  Just sayin’  Last Monday I did a photo shoot of 17 horses and took 144 photos of them.  Horses are hard to do; they just don’t sit and stay like our canine friends but I feel I got some good shots.  I’m still editing and when the final edits are complete, then I order prints and make photo note cards.  The owner of the stables is going to give these cards to her clients as a gift.  I have a LOT of work to do.  Wish me luck.  Namaste’

Hubby ordered this sign and it is now posted in the yard for the world to see … that is anyone who decides to trespass.  Hope you’re having a great weekend.  Namaste’

That Ain’t No Bull!

Yippee! Skippee!  I finally felt well enough to get out of the house today and managed to actually have some quality time when I wasn’t coughing.  I feel so blessed!  Even though there are many more spring flowers popping up everywhere, I felt like I wanted to photograph something else.  So once again, the Universe obliged. Passing by one of our favorite BBQ places, I noticed they had painted the side of the building so I just had to stop and shoot it.  Now that I look at it, I’m getting kind of hungry.  Bubb’s Grub – “That Ain’t No Bull”  Namaste’

Get Your Kicks on Route 66

Having not left the house again today, I went on an inside search for something to photograph.  Lo and behold, in the garage was the Arizona Route 66 sign that we purchased on a road trip to Las Vegas a few years ago.  For those of you not familiar with Route 66, it has quite a colorful history.  Rather than me write about it and not do it justice, click HERE for more.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Arizona joining the union.  Yes, we’re a bunch of rebels … the last state of the lower 48 to join back in 1912.

Thanks so much to all of you who have sent your good wishes for me to feel better.  I think I’ve made the turn today!  Oh, and Daisy finally got a lizard today.  Poor little thing didn’t stand a chance.  She was in the right place at the right time and the lizard wasn’t.  Namaste’
