TBT-Spring

From last year, this tree in our front yard has the most beautiful blooms.

The Surging Epidemic

What??? Another video, you say? (Hey, it’s my blog so I get to do what I want. Hehe).

But this is important, so listen up, dear ones. In lieu of Throwback Thursday, please watch this important video (9 min. 43 sec.) It affects all human beings.

Jimmy is a smart guy. I really like what he puts out there. It resonates. Listen to what he has to say. Maybe it will inspire you, too. And if you’re so inclined, share it with those you love.

TBT and Halloween

I haven’t been to the blogosphere for a while but today I wanted to observe Throwback Thursday and Halloween … double duty, if you will.

These images are ones I took a few years back in Tucson. Our neighbor was a single Dad of three and each year him and the kids would go all out for Halloween. Dad would take the kids shopping and they got to choose the decorations they wanted. Then it was their job to do the decorating. I think the oldest was only 11 and he was definitely the director of their endeavors. Such cool kids!!!

I always loved to watch the magic unfold and each day as I would walk the dogs, I got to see the evolution of their front yard. They would ask me what I thought and I always gave them a round of applause for what they had done. And rightly so. It was well deserved.

Theirs was the best house on the street. I hope they’re still bringing Halloween enjoyment to the neighborhood.

Trick or Treat! Be good and be safe. Namaste’

TBT – I Love You

My daughter made me this card for my birthday last year. I’ll cherish it forever!

We worked together for the summer and absolutely had a blast. I came into the office on my birthday to find this on my desk. Made me cry ❤️

You’re the best, Michele! With love from a grateful Mom.

TBT – Kit Car

It’s Throwback Thursday again. Time sure seems to be speeding up, doesn’t it?

I took this image back in 2012 for my 365 challenge. I don’t know for sure, but I think it’s one of those kit cars. Sure looks like one.

If my brother was still alive, he would know. He was such a lover of cars … anything with wheels. This one’s for you, Mike … XOXOX12.19.12.streetrod

Have You Seen My Ball?

Since it’s Throwback Thursday I thought I’d post this picture of Daisy (taken last year) with her favorite orange ball.  It moved with us all the way to Oregon and now it’s missing. And believe me, we’ve looked in every nook and cranny inside and outside. She has plenty of other balls and toys, but none that she loves so much as this one. So let’s all call up the canine angels and put out an APB on her favorite ball.  Thanks in advance 🙂 Namaste’

TBT Bicycle Bones

I hardly ever do Throwback Thursday because I usually forget until Thursday is gone. I hate it when that happens 🙂

So today I decided to participate (because I remembered). Ha!  This image is one that I had always wanted to capture each time I drove by it.  I call it Bicycle Bones. The problem was that it’s on a very busy street in Tucson and I never was able to stop on that busy street.  So one day I decided to go into the cross street and wait for the traffic to whiz by long enough to make my break onto the road.  After waiting for a long time, I finally got my chance. I pulled out, rolled down the passenger window and took my shot, alternating between watching the rear view mirror for traffic and zooming out to get the image … call it multi-tasking. Sure was fun! I think my “photog” guardian angel had my back.  Namaste’
